God is worth it...

Recently our church has slipped into a pattern that affects almost all church worship services:
Folks showing up late for worship.

Now please don't read this as "the angry pastors rant.'
I know that sometimes we all have "one of those mornings," and that's life.
But when we rush into worship it hurts three people:

First: ourselves.  We do ourselves no favor when we don't come with enough margin to really get settled.

Second: the volunteers.  We don't honor those who have worked hard to make everything ready.  Really folks, the bible says to love your neighbour.  How about your neighbour who has already been up for three hours working to make the worship service ready for you, or your neighbor who was seated and ready before the hour began?

Third, and most of all, we don't honor God.
God is worth showing up ready to love Him and love His church fully.
God is worth being early, eager and expectant!

So here's a radical thought:
Get to worship on time, or even early so you can lend a hand of support.
