The Christ-Centered Life
This is the image we used to describe a life centered on Jesus.
You can listen to the message at http://www.connectionschurch.ca/sermons/
Or you can read the message at http://articles.connectionschurch.ca/2010/03/08/rooted-in-christ/
The image is build around our own logo, and based on the following verse:
“And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7
Here are the references for the three things that naturally flow out of a person who is centered on Jesus and overlofowing with thanks...
Give- “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
Share- “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Grow- “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
Starting next Sunday, March 14, we will look at those things that flow out of our thankfulness.
We'll start with the area of Growing in the Spirit.
