The Ministry Centre!

Today is the big day:  We take possession of the Ministry Centre!
Tonight you are invited to join us at 7:30pm for a tour and time of prayer.
Join us at 1895 Blue Heron Drive and share in the excitement of this next stage in our church.

In the next few days we'll be sharing what work is being done, and when.  If you have the skills, jump on in!  We'll be cleaning up this week, then doing framing, electrical, some new plumbing for the bathroom and kitchen, dry-walling, painting and decorating.

In the past year we hesitated to overextend our church with a financial commitment to a Ministry Centre or hiring additional staff.  Looking back we see that this has cause a plateau this past year.  Worship, groups and tons of ministry has continued, but Connections is essentially in the same place it was at the beginning of 2010 as an organization.

We're still doing the same ministry in the same way.
Which is good, but not great.
We want to do and be more!

Our hope and prayer is simple: with the new ministry centre and additional staff our church can grow to the next stage.

Please understand what we are saying: the next stage for us isn’t really about getting the ministry centre or additional staff.  Many churches might see those as ends in themselves.  For us, these are means to the end of a greater mission.  The mission that has grown us from nothing into what we are today, the mission that will continue to grow us more and more: to reach the lost of London and our world.  To connect people with God through preaching the great news of His love for us in Jesus Christ; to connect people in genuine fellowship and life together; to connect to our world by giving, sending, and even church planting!

And this just in:
We'll need help unloading our first shipment of paper products at the Ministry Centre tomorrow afternoon, about 4:30pm.  We'll be receiving approximately 10 pallets of supplies to give out this Christmas season!
