11 The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by."
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. 1 Kings 19:11-13
Once week ago, when the earthquake struck Haiti,
and thousands, and thousands, and thousands died,
many asked,
"Where was God?"
It's a question God invites us to ask.
He has never shied away from the tough questions.
But the answer sometimes comes in a whisper.
The stories have begun to emerge from the rescue workers.
The ones who have gone to mouth of the cave and listened.
They've heard the whispers for help coming from the rubble.
They've heard the scratching coming from underneath a collapsed building.
They've heard the faint cry from a fallen house.
The stories of lives being saved gives me hope.
God is good.
Keep praying.
Keep giving.
Don't lose faith that Limita is alive.
