Meet Theo

Tuesday night I met Theo.
You need to meet Theo.

Theo was the staff person in charge at the Ark Aid helping our group to serve dinner.  He told us briefly about his story, and as you might guess, it was a hard one.  But Theo is in a good place now.
No, he is in a great place now.

Theo is in charge several nights a week at the Ark.  He is up early helping to direct pick-ups from all the food donors.  (FYI, if you want free Starbucks coffee and pastries, go hang at the Ark weekday afternoons!  I had two cups, a donut and even got to shoot some pool!)  He is main job is custodial, and he keeps the place looking great.

But that's not why you need to meet Theo.
You need to meet Theo because his faith is contagious!  He believed that God was going to show up at the Ark Tuesday night.  He believed that God was going to change lives.  He believed that God was going to set people free, heal the broken, release the addicted, lift the fallen, find the lost, forgive sinners and save lives.
He really believed it would happen.
And he really believes it will happen every night.

Why?  Because it happened to him.
He sees it happen to others.
And he believes that whenever God's people show up and share their lives and the love of our God,
that God shows up.
And God changes lives.

You want a faith like Theo's.
And God can show up today where you work, where you play; in your marriage and at your dinner table; on a coffee break and in a conversation.
If you have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to believe.
