Things To Do, Pt. 2: EAT!

A family that attended Connections for a year recently moved to another city.
They visited a few churches.
Then got involved with one.
I asked him, "Why did you pick the church you did?  Was it the worship?  The preaching?  An incredible family ministry?  Great outreach events?  Which one of these things that I think is SO important was the deciding factor?  I have to know!"

The answer- none of those things.
In fact, he said he still loves my messages and listens online.
The liked the worship better at Connections.
THIS is what made it STICK for them at their new church:

Honestly, it was the people.  We had several offers of lunch and coffee after the service, and when we couldn't go two places on one Sunday, we were "forced" to come back the next Sunday for the service.  People make the church, and relationships keep the people.

Do you want to change some one's life?
Do you want to grow Connections?
Invite someone out to lunch or coffee after worship.

WHY this is so powerful?
If someone considers themselves a part of a church, and that person invites a visitor out for coffee or lunch, that visitor feels like the church is welcoming them with open arms.

If two people invite that visitor out to lunch, then they'll have to come back the next week!

Connectors, come to worship this Sunday.
Look for someone new.
Don't waste a moment- introduce yourself, sit with them, invite them out to lunch.
Be the community they are looking for and hoping to find at our church.
If you don't chances are, no one else will either!
