Post-Earthday Reflections and Resources

Just a few "green" thoughts for the day on things to read or watch. (This is by no means an extensive list.)

Read:
Here's a good article from a great publication called Relevant.

MacLeans has a whole section devoted to current environmental news.

One I mentioned last week, Blessedearth.org is a good resource for all sorts of topics regarding faith and stewardship.

As for books, too many to mention, but here are a few:
For the Beauty of the Earth: A Christian Vision for Creation Care- great in depth treatment of stewardship
Go Green, Save Green- super practical
You can even buy a Green Bible now!

Watch:
OK, in no special order, these are films I've watched and enjoyed:
The Planet Earth series is amazing, as well as Blue Planet, and the Planet Earth Game if you want to get interactive.

WALL-E is a great film for the kids, and you'll enjoy it too.
(FYI, in my opinion, Avatar is NOT the green film of the decade.  Save yourself 3 hours and watch Pocahontas, or just don't bother.)

The Lorax.  A Dr. Seuss classic!

Food Inc.  More about food, but relevant to the environment, and very disturbing.

OK, that's enough from me.
What do you recommend we read or watch?
