Only 7 Days Left...

Only 7 days left before Christmas.
You probably have a lot to do.
You're thinking about presents you still have to buy.
Parties you still have to attend.
People you still need to visit.
Cards you still need to send.
And the list goes on.

But I invite you to stop for a moment.
You already stopped doing something else to read this.
Stop. Step back. And think about what really matters for the next week.

You can fuss and rush and worry and complain.
Or maybe you can pretty much let all those distractions pass you by.
You can take time in the next week to read the bible accounts of the birth of Jesus.
You can do the Jesse Tree Devotionals we gave out at Connections with your family.
You can start a prayer list instead of a shopping list.

It's a week before Christmas.
If you love Him. If you call Him your savior and Lord. If you believe He is the Christ.
Then for His sake just spend some time in the next week with Him!
He came to be with us.
And we get so busy that we don't have time to be with Him.
Really?!
Just be with Him. Nothing else, NOTHING ELSE, is more important.
Or more wonderful.
